Overview

Discord is a messaging application that can be used to create dedicated communities. Members of EZV-Algorithms can join our own Discord community to discuss a wide range of topics.

Setup

1. Create a discord account at https://discord.com/register
   
   1. If you already have a Discord account, you can skip to step 2
   2. If needed, Discord has sign up instructions that can be found at https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/31676852332439-Discord-Sign-Up-and-Registration-Guide
2. Verify your email address used to set up the Discord account
   
   1. Discord sends a verification email when you create your account, find this email and click the "Verify Email" button
3. On the EZV-Algorithms website, open your account page by clicking your name in the navigation bar at the top of the site
4. Navigate to the Discord section at the bottom of the page under Communication
5. Click on the blue "Join the Discord" button
   
   1. This will take you to a Discord Authorization page
   2. If you click "authorize", we will use this authorization to:
      
      1. Identify your Discord account
      2. Add your account to our community
6. If you would like to authorize us to add you to our community, click "Authorize"
7. You should now be a part of our Discord community!
   
   1. At this point you should see our Discord community open in your browser.
      
   2. If you have a pop-up blocker, the redirect to the community may be blocked. If this happens you will see a white page prompting you to open Discord. Click the link to open Discord
8. From now on as long as you have an active subscription, you will see a "DISCORD" navigation item in the header.
   
   1. Clicking this will navigate you to our discord server in a new tab
